LumaDesk preparation validation — 2026-10-21

Target FQBN: arduino:avr:mega:cpu=atmega2560
Arduino AVR Boards: 1.8.8
LiquidCrystal: 1.0.7
Arduino CLI: 1.5.2-rc.1 (official Arduino download)

HelloOri.ino: compilation succeeded.
Program storage: 2,340 / 253,952 bytes.
Global variables: 71 / 8,192 bytes.

LumaDesk.ino + FocusCore.h: compilation succeeded.
Program storage: 10,002 / 253,952 bytes.
Global variables: 519 / 8,192 bytes.

Compiler warnings observed during the HelloOri build were unused nothrow tag parameters in the upstream AVR core new.cpp; no project-source warnings were reported.

Native C++11 logic checks: passed.
Covered: countdown boundaries, pause/resume, explicit start of next phase,
32-bit millis-style rollover, button debounce, long-press suppression of short
release action, light threshold entry/exit and uncalibrated behavior.

These are compilation and software logic checks only.
No physical Mega 2560 was connected. Wiring, LCD contrast, colors, sound,
light-sensor performance, timing accuracy, EEPROM persistence on the board,
and assembly results have NOT been physically verified. TEST_CHECKLIST.md
contains the hardware checks Ori should perform and record.
